

Gerald Scott Ferguson, age 85 of Franklin, died Monday evening, March 12, 2012 at the Spring Hills Nursing Home. He was born October 4, 1926 in Connel City, Kentucky the son of Corbett Ferguson and Nanny Belle Peyton. Gerald served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a Millwright out of the Local Millwright Union. Gerald was a member of the Grace Baptist Church where he served as an Usher and Trustee. He was an avid hunter. He is survived by his daughter, Janet husband, Larry McIntosh of Springboro; two grandchildren, Larissa McIntosh of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Denyse husband, Jonathan Smith of Delaware, Ohio; two great grandchildren; Alexis and Mitchell Smith; and six sisters, Rella Phillips, Faye Deck, Ova Dean Gibson, Karlene Gibson, Joyce Dalton, and Betty Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ferguson in 2011; a sister, Helen Miller; and three brothers, Revis, Corbett Jr. and Forest Ferguson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Smith and Pastor Roger Green officiating.
