

Gerald (Jerry) Crane Weinstein passed away peacefully at his Clifton home on Tuesday evening July 7, 2015. The son of Dr. Maurice and Mary Louise (nee Morrical) Weinstein (both deceased), Jerry leaves behind 2 sisters, Judith Holcomb Weaver (David) and Adrienne Barkley, as well as 2 brothers, Steven (Marilyn) and Edwin (Carol) Weinstein. Jerry was extremely fond of his 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Jerry was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, a lifelong supported of UC and an extremely passionate, ardent Bearcat fan. Jerry graduated from Samuel P. Chase Law School in 1969 and practiced law in Cincinnati until his retirement in 2000. Born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, Jerry moved to the Clifton area soon after graduating from law school.
He had ownership interests in Incahoots at Arthur’s restaurants, the Esquire Theater and also owned and managed rental real estate properties in both the Clifton and Oxford areas. As well as being an accomplished musician, Jerry possessed a keen interest in classical music. Jerry had a deep interest in various forms of Eastern meditation and spiritual practices that resulted in travel to India, Thailand and other eastern countries on multiple occasions.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 18 at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin St., Middletown, Ohio the with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the University of Cincinnati Foundation or to UCATS (University of Cincinnati Athletic Team Support) in Jerry’s honor.
