Glenn F. Dixon, age 75, of Monroe, passed away at his residence Thursday morning. He was born in Birdseye, Indiana, September 2, 1935, the son of Mansfield and Pearl Dixon. Mr. Dixon was Facilities Engineer for the Mound Monsanto Industries, and did consulting work after his retirement. He was very active in Scouting, and was a Scoutmaster in Middletown for several years. He was a Law Enforcement Trainer, and a Certified Hostage Negotiator for the Federal Government; and a notable basketball player, who loved playing pickup games with Jerry Lucas. Survivors include his wife, Ida Deaton Dixon; a son, David Kasai Dixon of Warsaw, Poland; 4 grandchildren, Alexandra, Andreas, Christopher and Zigi; and a brother, Raymond Anita Dixon of Noblesville, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 12, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with Pastor Ted Ricci officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
