Harold Wesley Allen, 86, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, October 31, 2015. Harold was the fifth of seven children born to Elbert and Martha Allen. He was born on Tuesday, September 24, 1929. Harold lived his entire life in his hometown, Middletown, Ohio. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, brothers- Thurman, Richard, and Robert and sisters- Thelma Mc Intosh and Wilma Seegar. He leaves behind one brother Merle Gene Allen of Middletown, Ohio and one son, David Allen of Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from Middletown High School in 1946, Harold enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for eight years. He came back home to Middletown and found factory work at Magnode in Trenton, Ohio. Harold was a health conscious man. On any given day, while driving down University/ Roosevelt Blvd. you may have saw a white haired old man with a pony tail running down the road, that was Harold, trying to keep fit. After his retirement from Magnode, Harold took to the roads of the world. He began to live out his dreams of travel. He traveled all over Europe, Russia, China, India, and Israel. The most important story of all his travels was the story of the day he was baptized in the Jordan River. He said that was the day that he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. So, because of his confession of faith, Harold left this world for the best travel experience one could ever dream of. Graveside service will be held, Friday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio. Rev. John W. Ward will be officiating the service. A special thanks to Harold's nephew, Kevin Mc Intosh, who has devoted his time over the years to assist Harold with his daily needs and affairs.
