
Harry V. McGuire, age 89 of Trenton, passed away Tuesday at Berkely Square in Hamilton. He was born October 7, 1927 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of Harry and Mary (Kraft) McGuire. Harry worked as an electrician for the IBEW local union and was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Spicer) McGuire; daughters, Mary Kathleen “Kathy” (husband, David) Kemp, Sharon (husband, Keith) Barger, Rebecca (husband, Robert) Kimbrell, Jacqueline (husband, Kurt) Webb and Karen (husband, David) Downs; grandchildren, Brian (wife, Terri) McGuire, Matthew Kemp, Michael (wife, Traci) Barger, Kristopher (wife, Dawn) Kimbrell, Lee Ann (husband, Jason) Hensley, Amanda (husband, Mike) Bruce, Kurt Webb II, Ciarra (husband, Scott) Blankenship, and Dustin Downs; nine great grandchildren. Harry also had many extended family members and friends, including his daughters-in-law, Brenda and Paula McGuire. Many thanks to Hospice, the nurses and staff at Berkeley Square, especially Heather, Ashley, Merle, Dinah and Susan who provided much care and comfort to Harry and Betty. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Janice (Wilder) McGuire; sisters, Liza, Elizabeth, Glenna, Gladys, Ann and Deane; brothers, Mort and James; and son, Gary “Steve” McGuire. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
