
Herbert K. Jackson, age 87, of Springboro, OH died Tuesday September 3, 2013 at Southview Hospital. Herbert was born in Blanchester, Ohio on January 11, 1926 to Heber and Ada (Rider) Jackson. He was the youngest of four boys who remained at home during the years of WW II because his three older brothers were currently serving our country in the military. Herbert was one of the founders of the Springboro Athletic Boosters Club, was an avid sports follower, especially all local sports teams, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. Herbert was employed with NCR for 29 years and after retirement worked in construction. Herbert was preceded in death by parents Heber and Ada Jackson, his brothers, Walter, Calvin, and McClain Jackson. Herbert is survived by his three sons Glenn (wife Dee) Jackson, Daryl Jackson, Curtis (wife Tammy) Jackson, 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service is 7pm Thursday September 12, 2013 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Dan Flory serving as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
