James was a graduate of Springfield High School, Springfield, IL and received his Associate Degree from Richland Community College in Decatur, IL. After school he entered the US Navy, where he served our country in Vietnam and the Navy Reserves for 30 years. James enjoyed fishing, cross stitching and puzzles.
James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Mount) Seggelke; his three children, Steven Seggelke, Gregory Seggelke, Michelle Zamzow; sisters, Sharon Rossiter and Katherine Flemming; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
James will be buried in Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.
