James C. "Jip" "Apple Man" Snowden, age 89, of Mason, Ohio, died Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Hospice of Southwest Ohio. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 18, 1926 to James and Hazel (House) Snowden. James was a graduate of Springboro High School class of 1943. He was employed with NCR for 20 plus years, Hidden Valley and Jungle Jim's for 50 years and retired in 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, James Snowden, mother, Hazel Snowden, wife, Dolores Snowden, sister, Betty Phillips, and brother, Russell Snowden. James is survived by his daughter, Cathy (Jose Chavez) Brinkley; son, Chris Snowden; three granddaughters, Abigail Smith, Rachel Smith, Cara Barrett; grandson, Matthew Brinkley; two great grandsons Nolan and Shane Barrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Saturday July 9, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, Ohio with John Agenbroad officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
