James Edward Stephenson, age 50, of Middletown, died Friday, September 2, 2011 in Atlantic, Iowa. He was born January 13, 1961 in Middletown, the son of Homer Stephenson and Lillian Powell Stephenson. James worked as a truck driver for Guy M. Turner Trucking Company. He is survived by one daughter, Sarah; one son, Jason; two grandchildren; two sisters, Susan and Mary; three brothers, David wife, Margie, Bill, and David; and his most loving best friend, Brenda Gunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sarah. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery.
