JoAnn Sorrell

JoAnn Walters Sorrell, age 75, of Middletown, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 25, 1937 in Hymen, Kentucky, the daughter of Rufus Ritchie and Florence Drake Ritchie. JoAnn was a member of the Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church, Hamilton, Ohio. She is survived by four daughters, Lynn Boyd Roy, Sally Kinzer Ray, Lois Hatton Joe, Debbie Morgerson BJ; five grandchildren, Sophia Hensley Kenny, Jeremey Miller, Josh Morgerson, Kori Robinson Nathan, Bailey Morgerson; three great grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Ruthie Wilson, Johanna Sexton Michael; two sisters, Lois Hall, Vina Lee Sloan; one brother, Bill Ritchie Charma; one sister-in-law, Linda Ritchie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Walters; her second husband, George Sorrell; her parents; one sister, Ernistine Waddell; and one brother, James Robert Ritchie. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitations will be from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park. A celebration of life following the funeral services will be at the home of her daughter, Debbie Morgerson.
