Joseph Emerick Myers, age 76, of Middletown, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Close to Home. He was born August 2, 1938 in Middletown, the son of Andrew Myers and Maud Phelps Myers. Joseph worked as a heating and air conditioning repairman. He was a loving husband, father and a hard worker. He loved old cars, vacations and camping with the family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane Ann Evans Myers; two daughters, Pam Fordyce of Middletown, Lee Ann Bruce Plunkett of Erlanger, Kentucky, two sons, Joseph E. Wendy Myers of Palm Harbor, Florida, Mark Lisa Myers of Middletown; six grandchildren, Amy, Tamara, Angie, Christy, Scott, Adam; three great grandchildren and one on the way; and a sister, Ellie. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Martha, Charlotte, Susie; and six brothers, John, Bob, Tom, Jim, Fred, and Bill. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the Woodside Cemetery Chapel with Brad Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at the chapel.
