With heavy hearts and profound love, our family shares the passing of Juanita Hoffman (Granny), age 90, of Franklin, Ohio, who was called home to her Savior on June 15, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most.
Born on June 2, 1935, Juanita lived a life rooted in faith, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community. She was married for 65 devoted years to Robert Lee Hoffman (Baldy) ; their love was a steady light—unshaken by time, and a lasting example of partnership, patience, and unwavering commitment. Juan
ita was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she faithfully attended services, taught Sunday school, and served joyfully on countless committees. Her devotion to the church was not only evident in her presence but in the quiet, humble ways she lifted others through prayer, encouragement, and steadfast grace.
To know Juanita was to know a servant’s heart. Whether she was organizing a church supper, delivering meals to shut-ins, or lending a listening ear to anyone in need, she gave without hesitation and loved without limits. Her hands were rarely still—busy flipping through the pages of a beloved book, preparing home cooked meals for her family, or occasionally pointing a finger at someone who needed a reminder—and if that finger was pointed at you, you knew it was time to listen.
She was fiercely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and nothing made her light up like the laughter of little ones. Her legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the recipes we share, the hugs we give, and the lives she touched so gently and completely. She taught us that kindness matters, that faith sustains, and that loving well is the most important work of all. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is reunited with loved ones in Heaven, and that her spirit will forever guide us.
Juanita is survived by son Robert (Debra) Hoffman Jr; daughter Sheri Owens; daughter in-law Kimberly Hoffman; grandchildren Ryan Owens, Amanda (Dustin) Moore, Matthew Hoffman, Ashley (Sky) Grieshop, Brock Hoffman; great grandchildren Tucker Moore, Brielle Moore, Jaxon Grieshop and Quinn Grieshop.
Juanita was preceded in death by Robert Hoffman; son David Hoffman, and son in-law, Marshall Owens.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 28th at St. Paul Lutheran Church (500 E 2nd Street Franklin, OH) with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to St. Paul Lutheran Church Children’s Christmas Fund.
