I have many fond memories of my dear sweet cousin, Kathy Lay. When we were kids, in the summers we would exchange visits to each others homes. Kathy enjoyed our farm, and especially the big summer lunches when my mother would cook piles of fried chicken and berry pies forus and the field hands. When it was my turn to visit her "city" home, we'd play games in the basement and listen to old Andy Griffeth records on a wind up record player. We laughed and laughed.

In our adult years, she turned me on to one of her passions, watching The Amazing Race, season after season. I know she loved the places the teams traveled to as much as the competition. She told me this summer she guessed she wouldn't be able to take those trips she'd planned for years based on those shows.

i wish her peace on her journey now, and my sympathy to Louie and the kids. She was loved and she will be missed.

We have many good memories of our times together. Our deepest symphony goes out to all your family.

Thirty-some years ago a group of young mothers in Springboro began a small bingo group. We played once a month in our homes, doing more talking & laughing than playing bingo. Kandy was an important part of our group. She always told the best stories & we always enjoyed our time together. Through the years some of us have moved & our bingo group dissolved, but we have always remained friends & have gotten together from time to time to catch up. We all will miss Kandy greatly. Louie, Andrea, Tony & Family you are in our thoughts & prayers.

I too had the pleasure of working with Kandy for over 20 years. She will certainly be missed by all of us. My sincere condolences to Kandy's family in this time of sorrow. I know I will never forget her laughter & kind ways. Kandy always was smiling and always had a good story to tell. She loved her Cincinnati Reds and loved her family. You will be missed my friend....

I had the pleasure of working with Kandy for the past 7 years. She brought smiles to all with her love of family, friends, traveling, TV, her cat, her clever Halloween costumes, and her beloved Reds. She will be truly missed and always remembered. My deepest sympathy to Louis and family.

We will miss Kandy. She was a very delightful woman. I enjoyed sitting with her at St. Mary Church. Eternal rest grant unto her and may the perpetual light shine upon her.

Kandy truly had a heart of gold. Every time I talked to her, from the first time I can remember to just last Thursday she always wanted to here how I was and how my family was. I remember on many occasions going with her and Olivia to the Dairy Queen for a bbq sandwich and an ice cream. She was a great neighbor that cared about everybody. She will be fondly remembered. Kandy was one of the first to welcome us to the neighborhood 29 years ago when she walked across the street with a plate of brownies. She was always interested in and cared about everyone in the neighborhood. A good woman who will be fondly remembered.
