LeRoy Carpenter

LeRoy Carpenter, age 89, of Franklin, Ohio, died Monday June 27, 2016 at Hillspring Health Care Center. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 12, 1926 to Ezra and Verda (King) Carpenter. LeRoy served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II, was a member of Eastview Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a deacon and treasurer. He was employed with General Motors for 39 years and retired in 1986. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Carpenter, mother, Verda Carpenter, sisters, Florence(Mike) McGraw, Lucille (Louis) Kalbe, Elizabeth Carpenter, Dora (Kenny) Dobbins, Letta (Ed) Riddell, Nora Carpenter, brother, Richard Carpenter, sister-in-law, Mamie Fletcher. LeRoy is survived by his wife of 68 years Helen (Leonard) Carpenter; two sons, David Carpenter, Rick (Tammie) Carpenter; three grandsons, Scott (Lori), Matt (MacKenzie), Tyler (Holly); granddaughter, Caitlyn Carpenter; two great grandsons, Luke, Samuel; great granddaughter, Amanda; great granddaughter, Kinley Carpenter; two brother-in-laws, Eugene (Virginia) Leonard, Bill Fletcher; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday July 2, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Dwaine Tilford officiating.
