Lois Fisher

Lois Jane Fisher, age 85, of Middletown, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born July 29, 1928 in Cumberland, KY, the daughter of James Smith and Martha Williams Smith. Lois was a long-time MiddFest volunteer and Atrium Medical Center volunteer. She was a former Butler County Court House Restoration Committee member, former Butler County Diagnostic Center Committee member, former member of Middletown Senior Citizens, Prism South Main Street Committee and many other organizations. She is survived by her husband, F. Eugene "Gene" Fisher; one daughter, Mary Frances William Cahill of Glendale, OH; one son, Jeffrey Fisher of New Carlisle; two grandchildren, Liam and Fiona Cahill; two sisters, Frances Workman of Hagerstown, IN, Mary Ann Mullins of Marion, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends at home and abroad. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Atrium Medical Center and Hospice for their excellent care of Lois Jane. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
