

Lora Kaye was truly the happiest when she was creating music for others or herself to sing her songs. She had written more than 1, 000 songs throughout her lifetime, written several books and poems, and had her own greeting card line. She was proud of serving as President and Owner of Roses in the Rain Music Publishing. She'd been known to say " You've got to dream before dreams can come true... and I dream Big!" She loved everything Safari... her favorite were the white tigers.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dewey R. and Ada A. (Blankenship) Tyra.; two brothers, Sewell and Glen Tyra; and six sisters, Nell Graham, Bessie Hollon, June Catron, Myra Pence, Euna Childers and Jill Fugate; son -in- law Todd McDaniel and daughter -in-law Angel Alexander.
Lora Kaye is survived by her three children, Kristi McDaniel, Eva Alexander (Bret Huggard), and James K. Alexander, Jr. (JJ); five grandchildren: Alexa McDaniel (Josh), Kyle Wullenweber (Ashlee), Cheyenne Alexander, Kayla Alexander, and Cole Huggard; five great- grandchildren: Cameron, Allisa, Jaxin, Scarlett and Oliver, sister: Vera Harris.
Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 11:30 AM at the Porter & Son Funeral Home- 769 E MAIN ST, CAMPTON, Kentucky 41301- A Funeral service to be held at 11:30 AM with Bro Paul Pence, Jr. presiding. Burial to follow at Tyra Family Cemetery, Campton, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tyra Cemetery if desired. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, Ohio.
