Martha Elizabeth Ballard

Martha Elizabeth Ballard of Franklin, Ohio entered into the presence of the Lord on August 29, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born on February 2, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio to Morton Whiteman Sr. and Tennie Conway Whiteman Powell.

Martha was a woman of faith, kindness, compassion, and love. She dedicated her life to Christ and had trust in God's plan. She enjoyed attending Sunday morning church services, as well as, sharing her talent singing gospel songs at home while her family and friends gather around her to play music instruments, or just to listen to her beautiful voice. She was a devoted mother that stayed home to raise six children with her late husband, Thomas.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas M. Ballard; two daughters, Betty Ballard, and Deborah Caudill; one son, William "Dickie" Ballard; three sisters, Dorothy Rowe, Edith Wilmath, and Patsy Fryman; five brothers, Arthur B. Whiteman, Tom Whiteman, Omar Whiteman, Mort Jr. Whiteman, and Milton Powell.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Hibbard; two sons, Eddie Ballard, and Jerry Ballard; 2 sisters, Betty Williams, and Joyce Powell; one brother, Dallas Powell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Those that knew her will greatly miss her.

Private services for Martha will take place at the convenience of the family.
