Age 94, passed away on March 10, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on January 19, 1922, the daughter of Marshall and Malinda (Cox) Petrey.
She retired from teaching in the Middletown Public Schools having taught at Maple Park, Jefferson and McKinley. She was a long-time member of University Baptist Church.
Mildred is survived by her children Don Lay, Marcia (Mike) Jenkins and Janis Baker; grandchildren Kelly (Duke) Darrigo; Branden (Amanda) Haddix; Justin (Andrea) Lay; Lindsey (Mike) Bauer; Ashleigh Lay, Evan Jenkins, Alex Jenkins, Logan Baker and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Norris officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
