

18, 2025. She was born on August 5, 1938, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Raymond E. Hudson
and Fern L. Van Voorst.
Nancy grew up in Indiana and attended Thomas Carr Howe High School before furthering her
education at the John Herron School of Art. On November 28, 1959, she married the love of her
life, George Randall Burge, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and community.
Nancy devoted her time and talents to preserving the past, taking great joy in sharing her
knowledge of genealogy with others, from college students to children. Her deep love for
history, art, and family guided her life and left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She
also found happiness in baking, creating sweet treats that became a cherished way of showing
her love and care.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Kent Randall Burge (Marilyn); and
granddaughter, Christina Padgett.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, George Randall Burge; her sister, Cynthia
Ann (Bill); nephews Brad (Minna) and Reid; her children, Douglas and Susan (Brian); and her
grandchildren Tiffany, Randall, and Emily. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Mya,
Damian, Myleah, Indigo, Juniper, and Lila, who will carry her memory forward with love.
Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family. Her legacy of
love and kindness will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be Monday August 25, 2025 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH 45005 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm followed by the Funeral Service with Reverend Laura Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
