

Naomi Saylor Robbins, age 99, of Franklin, OH passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Naomi, a devoted wife and mother, was born in Crab Orchard, KY on May 19, 1925 to Willie P and Maggie (Hoskins) Saylor.
She attended Campbellsville College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in 1947 and she was the first college graduate of her family. She then began her teaching career in Crab Orchard. Later in 1972 she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education from Miami University and taught elementary school in Franklin for over 20 years until her retirement.
Naomi and her husband, James Robbins, were founding members of Eastview Baptist Church of Hunter in 1959 where they faithfully served all of their lives. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, husband, whom she wed on December 27, 1947; brothers, Roy and Henry Saylor; sister, Mary Ruth Saylor; daughter, Sharon Ruth McDade; and grand daughter, Mary Elizabeth McDade. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou (David) Starkey; son-in-law Jim McDade; four grandsons, Jimmy McDade, David (Stephanie) Starkey, Daniel Starkey, Jacob (Ali) Starkey; two granddaughters, Maggie (Randy) Donisi, Janna Starkey; 14 adorable great grandchildren; a loving sister, Jewell Saylor Cain, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws whom she loved and who loved her.
Visitation is Friday, Sept 6 from 4:30-5:15 with services immediately following at Eastview Baptist Church, 4289 W. State Route 122, Franklin, OH. Reverend Dwaine Tilford will be officiating. Burial will be in Lum Greene Cemetery, Calvin, KY with a graveside service on Sunday, September 8 at 2pm. Please visit www.andersonfh.com to send an online condolence.
