Ralph Jones Jr.

Ralph H. "Tiger" Jones Jr., age 74, of Franklin, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1937 in Middletown, the son of Ralph H. Jones and Marie Kidd Jones. Tiger worked at Armco Steel, retiring after 38 years. He was an avid motorcycle and hot rod enthusiast and loved to travel. Tiger was very involved in the Middletown community; the Jaycees, founded All American Weekend, Middfest, the Sorg Opera, Todd Tennis, and the Ohio Hot Air Balloon Challenge. His survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Marincic Jones; his five children, Scott Ralph Jones of Denver, Colorado, Angela Todd Jones Slusher of Madisonville, Kentucky, Lisa Phil Jones Arroyas of Eustis, Florida, Brian Douglas Jones and Jonathan Paul Jones both of Brandon, Florida; numerous grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Kidd Jones and one sister, Janice Marie Jones Hayes. Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 PM Friday at the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Tim Doty officiating. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
