

Randall Glen Spencer was born in Middletown, Ohio on September 20, 1956 and went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2023 in Brandon, Florida with Irene Blitch, the love of his life, at his bedside. Randy was 66 years old.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents James and Norma Spencer of Franklin, Ohio. He is survived by his brother, Dwayne (Julie) Spencer of Waynesville and a sister, Janet (Donnie) Hale of Franklin. Two nieces, Brandy (Ray) Slavens of Springboro and Amy (Erik) Roddy of Lebanon. Two nephews, Josh Hale of Franklin and Zach (Carly) Hale of Carlisle and twelve great nieces and nephews.
As a boy, Randy enjoyed trapping muskrats and hiking in the woods behind his childhood home with all his neighborhood friends. His love for the “great outdoors” later changed to the love of a 1966 Chevy Nova and playing basketball. Randy spent many nights playing at the Franklin Park and cruising in his Nova, But, let’s not forget his Black Chevy Van and the Rainbow on the Dark Side of the Moon for which he was well known.
Randy graduated from Franklin High School in 1975. He attended Lee Junior College in Jackson, Kentucky for 2 years followed by a short stint at Miami University of Middletown, for both of which he played basketball. Following in his dad’s footsteps, he eventually took a job at Sorg Paper in Middletown.
Approximately 10 years later, he moved to the state of Florida where he continued his occupation in the paper industry, this time in sales verses manufacturing. Randy retired from paper sales and marketing in 2018 which enabled him to nurture his love for the beach and the sun.
A visitation for Randy will take place on Wednesday September 6, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second Street Franklin, Ohio 45005. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Michael Gray and Rev. Danny Griffith will be officiating. Burial will take place at Springboro Cemetery.
