

Reva L. Franklin, age 87, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at her residence. Reva endured Alzheimer’s for many years and was under the care of Ohio Hospice and her personal physician, Dr. Charles Opperman.
Reva was born in Middletown, OH on October 29, 1936 to the late Grover A. and Beatrice (Truesdale) Sebastian.
She was a 1954 graduate of Lemon Monroe High School, and went on to study nursing at Middletown Hospital. She worked at Monsanto for several years while she acquired her Bachelors’ degree in Education from Miami University and received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Xavier University. She also attended the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University pursuing her PHD in Education.
She later retired from Franklin City Schools in 1997 where she was the Jr High Guidance Counselor. She spent her previous years teaching Social Studies and American History at Franklin High School with more than 2 decades tenure.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Sidney Franklin, in 2015 and her son, Terry Franklin, in 2018. Reva is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Craig Cline) Miller of Springboro, her grandchildren, Erika (Chris) Archbold, Matthew (Amanda) Franklin; her great grandchildren, Mattix Franklin, Tate Archbold; step grandchildren Camrynn Cline and Casen Cline, and her sister, Cathy (John) Aller of South Carolina. Other family survivors include several special cousins, Sandy Franklin, and Nan Palocko, whom Reva adopted in her heart as a “second daughter”.
A visitation for Reva will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Vine Community Church, 4900 State Route 123, Franklin, OH, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger and Pastor Danny Griffith officiating..
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Humane Association of Warren County.
