Rita Marcell Jones

-Rita Marcell Jones, 83, of Hazel Green KY/Middletown, OH passed away July 10th 2025 at The Homeplace at Midway. Which was located in Midway, Ky where she resided over the last two years of her life. She made many new friends while she was there. A tree has been donated in her honor to one of Americas Forests.

-Rita was Born on March 20th, 1942, in Hazel Green Ky on her family’s property. Rita was a retired nurse of 40 years & was passionate about her Faith to God, Helping others, Baking, Gardening, Traveling, Enjoying a Hot Cup of Coffee & Her family most of all.

-She is survived by her devoted son, Greg McIntosh. Her grandchildren, Gregory, Kelci/Amanda (great grandsons Jaxtin & Colter), Christopher, Michael/Kenzie (great grandsons Grayson, Tyler, & Bennett). Jacob (great grandchildren Ryan, Molly (great-great granddaughter Nora), & Natalie). She is survived by her Sister & Brother In-Law Patty & Larry Bowlin & by her Brothers & Sister In-Laws, Donnie (Vickey) Dykes, Danny (Melody) Dykes, & Brother David Strickland (Lynn-Deceased). She is survived by her cousin Phyllis (Amour) Steffen who was like a sister to her. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, & cousins. She was loved by so many family & friends.

-She was preceded in death by: Michael Dale McIntosh (Son), Allen Jones (Husband), Vivian Maxine Dykes (Mother), James Dan Dykes (Stepfather), Ed Strickland (Father), Gertrude Strickland(Stepmother), Eddy Jr. Strickland (Infant/Brother), Tommy Strickland (Brother), Robert Strickland (Brother), Barbara Strong(Sister), Terry Frazier (Step-Brother), James Christopher Dykes*Little Jimmy* (Nephew), Danny James Yeary Sr.*Danny Boy*(Nephew), Jennifer Beatty-McIntosh (Daughter In-Law)

-She will be having services & visitation at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, OH on: July 17th 2025. Public visitation will be 10a-12n with funeral service immediately following at 12n.

-She will be laid to rest at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH alongside her husband Allen.
