

Reverend R.T. Wolfenbarger (Wolfy) departed this life on February 9, 2026 at his home in Franklin, Ohio. He was born on November 23, 1940 in Broken Valley in Grainger County, Tennessee. He was the 10th and youngest child of Lon and Nervie Wolfenbarger, who preceded him in death. R.T. professed faith in Christ at a young age and joined Cedar Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill, TN. He announced his calling to preach the Gospel as a young man. Later in life he moved his membership to Bethel Missionary Baptist in Franklin and has been the Pastor there for over 20 years.
On July 5, 1966 he married the love of his, Diana Johnson, in Bryson City, North Carolina. To this union of 59 years two sons were born, Tom and Joey.
In addition to his parents, R.T. was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Donald and Clarence (Betty); and six sisters, Dexter Dalton, Pauline Wolfenbarger, Geneva Lamb (James), Gladys Asberry (Lester), Lucille Carpenter (Carl Ray), and Leo Holt (Gerald). He is survived by his two sons, Thomas (Susan) and Joey (Cheryl); three grandsons, Noah (Bailey), Seth (Chloe), and Brady (Peyton); two granddaughters, Cheyenne Wolfenbarger and
Hannah Felder (Paul); four great-grandchildren, his best friend, Parker Wiseman and Braedyn, Kinley and Kyleigh Felder.
Services will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with services immediately following. Reverend Ben Baker will be officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
