She served many years as a board member and treasurer of Middletown Area Schools Credit Union. At the age of 18, Roberta became one of the youngest women to bowl a 600 series 608 in the city at that time. It was the first of many 600 series with her high series of 661 bowled in the state tournament. Roberta served as a board member and treasurer of the Middletown Women's Bowling Association for many years. In recognition of her meritorious service, she was inducted into the Miami Valley Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2009. In the mid 1980's, Roberta was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for several years. She also enjoyed many activities with her family, especially camping, amusement parks and travel. Her favorite destinations were Hawaii, Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach. She pleased her family and others with some of their favorite food items such as her own chili recipe, pina colada cake and her Christmas cookie creations. As a skilled seamstress, she made many costumes, stuffed animals and other items for her family and others. Her kindness, helpfulness and wisdom will be missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to Penny Hampton for her love and attention in providing experienced care for Roberta since mid-September of 2012. We also want to thank Dr. Mark Frazer and Dr. Robb Snider for their professional care, all the employees of Middletown City Schools who have been so supportive and all the friends, neighbors and others who were ready to help when needed.
