Ronald C. McGuire

McGuire, Ronald “Papa” C., age 75 of Middletown, passed away Friday morning, February 24, 2017 at the Atrium Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1941 in Middletown, Ohio; the son of Clyde Franklin and Clara Angeline (Little) McGuire. Ron worked at AK Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1995 and worked for Jacobs Engineering for 15 years, retiring in 2008. He was a Past Master of Highpoint Masonic Lodge in Monroe and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a 43 year member of the First United Methodist Church.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marian (Harmon) McGuire; daughter, Laura (husband, Chris) Halsey; son, Ron (wife, Sandra) McGuire, II; grandchildren, Skylar Halsey, Jacob Halsey, Ashley (fiancé, Robert Patrick), Ellie (husband, Adam) Lawson, Isabelle McGuire, Raegan Halsey, Eli (wife, Elizabeth) Paulson and Josh Paulson; and two great grandsons, Jackson Cash McGuire and Easton Kenneth Paulson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanne Carr.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 120 South Broad Street, Middletown, Ohio with Reverend John Wagner officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Monday at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, Ohio with Masonic services starting at 7:30 pm.

Interment will be Woodside Cemetery with military honors by the United States Army.
