Ronald Lee Sumpter, age 79, of Hillsboro, Ohio, died Wednesday April 23, 2014 at his home. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 15, 1935 to Marshall and Beatrice (Omlor) Sumpter. He was employed with Dayton Press for 30 years and Mound Technologies for 4 1/2 years and retired in 1989. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall George Sumpter, mother, Beatrice Josephine Sumpter, 3 brothers-in-law Gerald Fisher, Ronald Rush, and Don Patton. Ronald is survived by his wife of 58 years Donna (Fisher) Sumpter two sons, Roger (Susan) Sumpter, Edward (Marie) Sumpter; three granddaughters, Brooke (Jeremy) Charlton, Jessica Wood, Tori (Jerry) Watson; grandson, Edward (Valerie) Sumpter Jr.; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 12:30 pm Saturday April 26, 2014 at Anderson Funeral Homes 40 North Main Street Springboro, Ohio with Solomon Gomez officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
