Ruby O. Edwards

Ruby O. Edwards, age 93, of Franklin, Ohio, died Friday July 10, 2015 at Carlisle Manor. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on February 20, 1922 to Isaac and Emma (Frazier) Jordan. Ruby was a member of the Eastern Star in Kentucky, the Miamisburg American Legion Auxillary, and the Miamisburg Moose. She was employed with Carlisle School District for 17 years and retired in 1982. Ruby was a genuine loving, nurturing woman that touched everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Jordan, mother, Emma Jordan, husband, John Earl Edwards, sister, Thelma Carroll, sister, Lillian Savage, brother, Billy Ray Jordan, special son, Bud Carroll, two infant daughters, Ann Edwards and Deborah Edwards, a son-in-law Joseph McHale. Ruby is survived by her three Sons, Earl (Darlene) Edwards, Larry (Donna) Edwards, Greg (Riva) Edwards; daughter, Rebecca McHale; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Ruth) Jordan. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11am at the Germantown United Methodist Church 525 Farmersville Pk. Germantown, OH 45327 with Reverend Gary Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Middletown or Carlisle Manor.
