

She was born in Middletown to Harry and Hattie Peters. She was a lifelong resident of Middletown and was married to Robert A. Martin for 58 years until his death in 2000. She was a dedicated mother and a hard worker all her life. She was a member of Eastern Star, St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Senior Citizen Center of Middletown. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, playing bingo with friends and helping grandchildren with crafts.
Preceding her in death were her parents Harry and Hattie Peters; her husband Robert A. Martin; one son, Ronald A. Martin; two sisters, Sis Jackson and Betty Brown; and two brothers Bob and Harry Peters.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bob Duffey; her son, Bob Brenda Martin; two sisters, Margaret Brandenburg of Minnesota and Thelma Craycraft of Dayton; six grandchildren, Sarah Justin Burnett, Kathy Tim Krynak, Rob Molly Duffey, Travis Martin, Jodi Matt Monk, and Mary Woods; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge Visiting Angels and Hospice of Middletown for their incredible care and compassion.
She will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown or American Heart Association.
