R.I.P my friend you will be greatly missed

Marsha, my deepest condolences to you and family. I went to HS with you and Sam, was in Mr. Mucha's choir, "Guys And Dolls", "Fiddler On The Roof" (still have the wonderful photos). Sam was so very talented. May God give you peace and comfort. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

I came to college in Cincinnati from Tennessee and met Sammy in school, and I met Sam Sr. when Sammy took me and my fraternity brothers watch wrestling at his family home in Middletown.  I will never forget how welcoming Sam Sr. and the entire Minge family were to all of us throughout college.  Sam was like a second father to me in college.  I am not sure that I have ever met someone who was so interested in and available to other people.  What an amazing man!

Very sad to hear of Sam's passing, we all had a lot of love and respect for Sam. He was a good example of how to give back to the community. All of my kids (Amanda, Megan and Ryan) said to pass along their love. Out thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My memory from Sam is from High School days. Great trombone player and a wonderful Tevya in "Fiddler on the Roof". So sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers to you and yours.  I went to school with Sam and remember his humor and love of music.  I think he played the trombone(?)  I ran into him after 40+ years and remember his smile.  So sorry for your loss.

Sam and I played in a fine brass quintet together at Miami University.  I remember his awesome musical talent and fun wit.  I recall playing "Fanfare for the Common Man" at the conclusion of the Aaron Copland concert as the audience left Millett Hall.  Fireworks and all.  We played "Music for Prague" together under Husa ... another life changing experience with the Miami Wind Ensemble.  Good times at all three bowl games in Florida too.  God surely poured out his richest blessings on us all through Sam.

So many fond memories of Sam, especially during Marching Band days! He was always there to help out and always happy to be there and be a part of it. I am so sorry for your loss, but know that he is truly in a better place. Thoughts, condolences, and prayers to you all.

I worked with Sam for about 2 years at Menards. His humor was the best medicine... when I was having a bad day I know I could find him and he would give me a good laugh. You will forever be missed

So very sorry to hear about Sam.  He was always very friendly and funny with a quick smile.

I worked with Sam for a year at Menard's.  His humor is what I remember.  Laughter is the best medicine.  Sam, you are at the destination now.  You are missed.

Sam was truly a selfless man he always thought of other first. I loved working with Sam at Target he made it fun and was always there to lend me a helping hand. I will truly miss him.

There is lots of great praise music being sung in heaven tonight led by Sam. I am so sorry to all of you for this sudden and great loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  Sam was one of a kind.  He always had something nice to say about everyone.  He was a true kind and giving person and we can not imagine the Marching Band and all the other musical involvements without him.  Words do not seem enough .  He was a fine teacher, Musician, and friend.  My heart goes out to Marsha and the children.  He is in a better place and the Trombone section in Heaven just got a jewel.

I will always be forever grateful for all of the time Sam gave freely to a huge amount of students in the various music programs at Middletown Schools.  He taught me a lot and was definitely a go too person for me as a parent!  Many prayers and lots of love sent to the Minge family today and always!

Sam will always be my brother. No matter what was going on in our lives, he was always there for me! We may have gotten into a little bit of trouble in college together....but we always had each other.
