Sandra Nichols

Sandra Lynn Nichols, 59, of Trenton passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, June 30, 2013. Sandy was born in Middletown on May 6, 1954 to Ellen "Sue" and Joseph Terrell. Sandy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Raymond; two sons, Timothy Heather and Aaron Kylie; grandchildren, Shayla, Libby, Sierra and Liam; her mother, Ellen Terrell; brother, Steven Gloria; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe and grandparents, Leslie and Thelma DeRosett and KS and Florence Terrell. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Sandy was a Registered Nurse and Paramedic. Her career included employment at Mercy Hospital, Middletown Hospital, and several area nursing facilities. She was an EMS instructor at Butler Tech and a certified nurse aid instructor. Sandy volunteered on Trenton Rescue Squad for over 20 years and with Madison Township Life Squad. Sandy loved teaching and had served as training officer for both squads. She also served as Co Chair of the Trenton Family Festival for six years. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Russ Terrell officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
