
Sherman Terrill, age 74 of San Clemente, California passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at River Oaks Nursing Home. Sherman was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on May 11, 1943 to the late George and Betty Terrill. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Terrill.
Sherman's education after Northmont High School included going to barber college, Georgetown University, Wright State University, a Masters of Education from Xavier University and a Doctorate of Law from American College of Law. After practicing law, Sherman went back to teaching, one of his proudest achievements was being teacher of the year for the Irvine California School District while working with troubled youth.
He was an AA sponsor that helped many others gain hope in sobriety. Sherman started and operated sober living homes. Always an fitness enthusiast, he enjoyed playing tennis and going to his gym daily. Besides being known for his great collection of Hawaiian shirts, he will be remembered for his love of music and dancing to rock and roll with the ladies. He will always be in our hearts and not forgotten.
Survived by his two brothers, Paul (Dixie) Terrill, David Terrill; sister, Marcia and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio at 1:00pm with Celebrant Dan Flory officiating. Gathering of Family and Friends will be held prior to service from 11:00 am-1:00 pm also at the funeral home. We welcome all to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt.
