Jackson, Steven Larry, of Franklin, Ohio, originally Lansing, Michigan died at 80. He was born September 27, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and June Jackson of Lansing. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Helen (Krawczynski) Jackson; sons, Timothy Jackson of Portland, Ohio and Mark and wife, Jennifer Jackson of Franklin; as well as grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Luke, Hannah, and Alexis.
Steve was a “jack of all trades” guy. Draw it up and build it. He learned it all from his father’s heating business, Wayne Jackson Heating. Steve was proud that he and Helen built their first house. His occupations changed over the years. He was store manager for W.T. Grant Co. which is what led him to Ohio in 1974. He sold life insurance for Western & Southern Life for 12 years. He finished his career at Monroe Mechanical, Inc. a commercial HVAC where he retired after 20 years of service. Steve and Helen ran their own cleaning business for 23 years on the side. Steve enjoyed playing drums in local bands, fishing, hunting, traveling, cruising, flying his R/C airplanes, playing Texas Hold’em, music, dancing, watching movies, and taking pictures. His favorite vacations were with the family and chasing walleye and salmon in the Great Lakes. He also enjoyed his trip to Dale Hollow Lake Tennessee.
He loved life and everyone in it. Steve trusted God and Helen and his sons, Tim and Mark, for his good life.
