William Darrell Bowman, age 84 of Middletown, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. He was born September 3, 1928 in Middletown, the son of Garland Bowman and Edna Parlett Bowman. William retired from Monsanto and attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marceline M. Sanderson Bowman; daughter, Cheryl Bowman of Middletown; sons, Gregg wife, Gail Bowman of Springboro, and Steven Bowman of Middletown; granddaughter, Sarah Bowman of Hamilton; a sister, Barbara Townsend; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elizabeth, Bess, and Beatrice; and brothers, Bob, Bud, Barry and Keith.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Woodside Cemetery Section 10 with Dr. Virgil Applegate officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
