William O. Hoffmann

William "Bill" Hoffmann, age 88, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. Bill was born in Lebanon, Ohio on November 15, 1927 to the late Otto and Charlotte Hoffmann.

Bill was a 1946 graduate of Springboro H.S. He attended the University of Dayton then joined the Merchant Marines Academy where he earned his BA and received his MA from Wright State University. Bill worked as a seaman on a merchant ship before teaching science and physics in the Dayton Public School Systems.

Bill will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth "Deanna" I. Hoffmann; daughter, Karen Hoffmann Jester; brother, Jerry (Irm) Hoffmann; nephews, Steve (Amanda) Hoffmann and Ron Hoffmann; 4 great nephews and a great niece.

Funeral services are Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Mike Rhodehamel, officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date.
