William was a veteran of WW II serving in the U. S. Army and was formerly employed with Dayton Press for 30 years and retired in 1981.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Qualls, mother Verna Qualls; brother, Kenneth Qualls, half brother, Leonard West, sister, Elega Maynard.
William is survived by his wife 67 years Edna Qualls; daughter, Sarah McSwain; 2 sons, Larry Qualls, Terry Qualls, 2 brothers, Ted Qualls, Wilburn Qualls; half brother Lester West; 2 sisters Bonnie Stockton, Thelma James and 8 grandchildren.
