William Henry Williams Sr.

William Henry Williams Sr., age 93, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 5, 1922 to the late William and Catherine (Fink) Williams. Bill retired from Mound Laboratories in 1982 after 23 years. He was a long time member of St. Mary Church. Bill graduated from Franklin High School in 1940. On Valentine's Day in 1942, he married the love of his life, Ann Fitzgerald. Bill served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in England and France during WW II. He was devoted to his wife and family. Bill enjoyed playing the Mandolin, Clarinet, gardening, camping, playing 500 Rummy and bungee jumping. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, William H. and Eva Catherine (Fink) Williams, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Nancy Williams; great grandson Zachory Deaton, and sister Elizabeth Steed. Bill will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 74 years, Margaret Ann Williams; their 11 children, Gloria (Donald) Dent, William (Pam Wood) Williams Jr., Teresa Jones, Rosemary (Russell) Yenser, R. Joseph (Janice) Williams, Daniel (Karen) Williams, Nancy (Alan) Stonerock Jr., Anthony (Celena) Williams, Angela (Tony) Banks, Regina (Charles) Gast, and Christopher (Amy) Williams Sr.; 30 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Sunday April 3, 2016 at Anderson 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH. Mass of Christian Burial is 2:00pm Monday April 4, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church Franklin 115 South Main Street Franklin, Ohio with Father James Manning celebrant. Gathering and prayers will take place at the funeral home at 1:15pm before Mass. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with military honors.
