I'm so sorry to just learned of his passing. He was a great guy.  I know he is missed by all.  I'm sending my love and prayers to all of the family.

Gayle, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Woody truly was one of the most extraordinary people that I have ever had the privilege to know. His love for the Lord and for others was always so evident. Over the years I have often reflected on his words of insight and encouragement, and my life has been made better by his gentle light. I got to know Woody in 2004 as a young Christian convert. We’d connected in the early days of social media and despite never meeting in person (I live in the U.K.) he showed me the warmth and tenderness of heart that I’ve no doubt all remember him to have in abundance. He posted books to me, no doubt at great expense, that enriched my spiritual growth and let me see another side to the Christian faith that wasn’t so readily seen in the high church Anglicanism of my home country.

We kept in touch over the years, and was sorry to hear that his health was poor towards the end. I regret not reaching out more recently. I hope he knows that I loved him back.

Safe onward journey my friend. I will remember you.

Dear Woody
I had the privilege of meeting you 38 years ago when you hired me at McDonalds. 
I remember how kind you were and always was so upbeat with a beautiful smile for everyone along with encouraging words for a 16 year old and her first real job. 
It was a few years ago when I went through a rough patch in life and  I was feeling lost.  
It was you who came to my mind while on FB one evening, I decided to reach out and you didn’t disappoint, you were so very kind and talked me though when I thought all was lost. 
Thinking back to that I sure hope you knew your words saved me and gave me hope that God was always there listening and would carry me when I was weak. You Sir are a one of a kind.  God brought one of his most faithful, kindness soldiers home. I will never forget your kindness and soothing words I remember to this day you will definitely be missed sweet man. 
Fly high in peace, you are loved and will be missed very much  ♥️ 
Prayers to all your family 

I have never known anyone who had more impact in people's lives, with the most humble heart and love for others. Your unwavering faith, your humble serving attitude and your love for Gayle were truly exemplary to me and I'm sure to many others as well.  I can't describe in words how greatful I always will be for your friendship and the precious memories we have of nearly twenty(!) years of friendship. From our first conversation in a Christian teen chatroom to my first time visiting you and Gayle in 2004 (that trip changed my life!) and you visiting me in Belgium! What great memories! I'm glad to have visited you a couple more times in all those years but also sad I didn't visit more often than I did. 
 
Thank you so much for touching not only my heart in a way only you could, but also Rania's and several friends of ours. 
Our thoughts and prayers go out to your precious Gayle who is now left without her soulmate by her side, her buddy...
But we take comfort in knowing that you are now home. You can finally sit comfortably in eternity alongside the One your heart was always on fire for!
You can finally stop looking up for the best which was yet to come because you found it! Man, I wish I could've seen your face when you heard it spoken to you "Well done, good and faithful servant!" I can very much imagine how big your smile must have been! 😉

My Dear friend Woody.  It's been too many years away.  We met through your dear mother when she knocked on my family's door to invite us to ride the bus to Sunday School at Camden Church.   Six years later we spent some overlap time at Gulf-Coast Bible College in Houston.  You have always been a pleasant part of my life from a distance though. My deepest sympathy to your family as they miss your presence. I will still always have your memories my Friend Woody. 

I have many memories of Woody during his time in Missouri.
I remember all the fun we had at Camp Sharon. 
I remember the trip to IYC in Winnipeg,  Manitoba,  Canada. 
Lots of fun stuff.
But most of all, I remember learning what it was like to really walk with God and hear his voice.
I know that he has heard the words, "Well done,  my good and faithful servant"


In your life you come across individuals that make an indelible mark upon you. They divinely come along at the right time to help form who you become as a person. This man here, Woody Crosthwaite was one of a very few that had that impact on me and many others. Woody and I met at Family Christian Store back in the late 80’s as the decade was turning. We immediately hit it off as co-workers and became the best of friends. We traveled the US leading summer youth camps, speaking at churches and attending various concerts and events around the US and even snuck into Mexico at one of the most dangerous border crossing areas in the world. I’ll never forget hanging out in Franklin with his mom, sweet lil Granny Q-Tip as I called her and taking road trips in that old green van that always was always on its last leg. Woody even officiated my first marriage and believed in young love, even though my ex-wife and I were probably too young to understand it. Woody was one of the greatest men of God I’ve witnessed on this earth. He loved God, he loved his family, he loved his bride Gayle Crosthwaite, he loved his church and he loved children and young adults with the innocent love of Christ. He was everyone’s youth pastor. There’s no telling how many souls Woody is responsible for leading to Christ. Last night he crossed over from this world into Heaven to receive his reward. I believe Granny Q-Tip was there at the gates waiting to hug him as he entered and heard those words, “Well done my good and faithful servant”.  I was glad to have snuck into your hospital room pre-covid dressed up in hospital gear to see you and give you a good laugh and a hug. I will miss and love you always Woody. Til we see each other again.

What a soul winner and evangelist for our Lord.  He sought to bring people around the world via the internet to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I have memories of Woody witnessing always for the Lord, and singing at Camp Lebanon.   
He had a heart for lost souls.    
Prayers for his wife Gayle, and for his family.   He was loved by many, and he is rejoicing in heaven today.    

My deepest  condolences,and prayers for the entire family,during this very difficult time. I hold very found memories of Woody. Such wonderful man. He will be greatly missed by so many people,whose life he touched!RIP my friend,enjoy your reunion with Martha,your wonderful mom! 

Condolences to Woody's family and friends from Pat & me. As sad as we are to lose such an awesome Godly man and loved one I am that happy for Woody to finally be out of pain and walking streets of gold with Jesus and loved ones gone on before him. It won't be long before we will all be there with glorified bodies walking those streets with him.

This is for our precious Son by another Mother, Sister Martha. From the age of 11, Woody was stuck to Terry and I like glue.  We had extra bedrooms wherever we pastored and they were always available for our guys - Woody and Roger Stamper. Woody was our Youth Pastor in two churches and worked at Camp Lebanon with us for years and he followed us to Gulf Coast Bible College in Houston, Tx. He had such a passion for souls, especially young people and knowledge that came from Gods Word and The Holy Spirit.  I was taken aback yesterday when I heard about his Homegoing but quickly realized I was sad for myself not for him - he attained his welcome into Heaven and was welcomed by those words 'Welcome Home though good and faithful servamt'.  I am thankful that my life was impacted by this marvelous Warrior. To Gayle and the rest of his family - Hold on My Child,  Joy Comes in the Morning. 

So many fond memories of Woody going back to youth group at Grand Ave Church of God and counselling at Camp Lebanon! I loved his Christian walk and testimony and his hearty laugh. He will be so missed down here. He was blessed to have such a wonderful loving and strong helpmate in Gayle and I will be praying for her as she takes this journey of grief. One day, they will be reunited in heaven! PTL

Bro Wood I know that you are walking streets of gold with all those that have gone on before you. I will miss your laughter and spirit and all the time we had together. I believe that it is a blessing that you no longer have to suffer all the bodily issues you suffered. You have been a blessing to our family and me personally, I will miss you but I look forward to seeing you again.
