He worked as a bus conductor to finish his high school at Far Eastern University. After high school, he went to Pampanga, Philippines and worked at the Clark Air Base as a Security guard to support his college education. He earned his Bachelor Science major in Accounting at Holy Angel Academy. Soon after he graduated college, he was promoted to work in the finance office.
On May 26, 1952, he married Perla Marcos Cerezo, a seamstress from Pampanga, Philippines. He's always been fascinated with beaches/ocean, he loved to fish, and his dream would be to live in a retirement home in the middle of the ocean, but his wife didn't like to eat fish, so that never happened.
In 1985, he moved in Tucson, AZ to live with his eldest daughter, Myrna. In 1990, Alberto and Perla moved in San Jose, CA to live with their daughter, Lerma.
In 1991, Alberto started working at Red Lion Hotel as a dishwasher. And in 2007, he retired at Double Tree Hotel. He's also a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE)/USOPM.
Alberto is survived by his wife Perla, and eleven Children: Myrna, Ric, Mario, Lerma, Henry, Remedios, Imelda, Susan, Lailani, Rafaela, and Asia.
