Betty Jo Billingsley was born on June 5, 1939 in Arkansas. The daughter of Ray and Zelma Billingsley, she was raised on a simple Arkansas farmstead with three sisters and one brother. She is survived by one sister, Barbara Janette Bramlett, and her brother, Gregory Roger Billingsley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Betty and Marion were married in 1956 in Washington. They were sweethearts and best friends for over 70 years! A vivacious woman, her joyful and fun-loving nature has delighted friends and family. She was always ready for another party, outing, or gathering! Kind and compassionate, she was quick to lend a helping hand or to join hands in prayer. She encouraged and mentored many, young and old. She taught Sunday School and led high school, college, and adult Bible studies. She also gave sermons at Christ’s Ambassadors and Women’s Aglow meetings. Gifted with a beautiful voice, she loved to sing hymns and lead worship at church. She filled her home with singing, laughter, love, and prayer. She enjoyed collecting antiques and china and making her home both beautiful and welcoming. Her love for God and desire to share the gospel with family and friends was her greatest ambition. A devout Christian, Betty leaves a wonderful heritage of faith to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren! Her shining example of enduring faith in Jesus Christ will be a path her family can follow into eternity.
We miss you already, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend! Revered and loved by all, we rejoice that the spirit of our precious sister in Christ is now at home with the Lord.
