

Carlos, or better known to his friends and family as Carl or Carling, was born on July 31, 1944 in Dasmarinas Cavite, Philippines. He is the eldest son of Bernabe Buclatin Sinsay and Consolacion Cantada Sinsay. He has 5 siblings; Ben, Joe, Lisa, Bernie, and Connie.
In 1957, the Sinsay family immigrated to the United States when Carl was 13 years old. His father was in the Navy and was stationed in San Francisco, CA. His family settled in Newark, CA where Carl obtained a job as a Postal Carrier after high school.
In 1968, he worked as a civilian Administrative Assistant for an American Firm in Vietnam. After 6 months, he visited the Philippines, to rekindle a spark that he felt with a childhood classmate, Soledad Broas. His courtship was so successful that the two made their love official.
On January 17, 1970, Carl & Solly married in the Philippines. Nine months later, their eldest daughter, Charmaine, was born.
They moved to the United States, where they lived in Newark, CA for 2 years. Then, settled in San Jose, CA.
Carl and Solly had 3 more children: Christopher in 1971, Conrad in 1974, and Carolyn in 1977.
In 1994, Carl and his wife joined the Cursillo, then later joined Couples for Christ. They were 1 of 6 couples that started the Couples for Christ Northern California Chapter. As one of the first members of the Couples for Christ, they continued to evangelize and spread God's word to different areas throughout the United States, Alaska, and the Caribbean. He remained an active member until his death.
As a profession, Carl was a Real Estate Agent and Broker, once a co-owner of CBS Realty. (CBS are the initials of all his 4 children). He helped many families buy their first homes and maintained his license until the day of his passing. His last real estate sale was one of great pride and joy. He and Solly purchased a home in Lathrop, CA in August 2017. There, the couple enjoyed a more peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley and enjoyed nice walks along the lakes and amid the beautiful sunsets. They were also closer to the majority of their grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife, Solly, his 4 children: Charmaine, Christopher, Conrad, and Carolyn and his 10 grandchildren; Mitchel, Ethan, Christian, Kalei, Allan, Jacob, Matthew, Brandon, Charissa, and Alyssa.
He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He was also known as a man of faith. A loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and members of the Couples for Christ (CFC) Family.
