

Emerson Martin Dela Cruz, 64 , of San Jose, California , took his last breath surrounded by his family on July 27, after 8 months battle with esophageal cancer. Born on September 1, 1959 , in Nueve Ecija Philippines, he lived a life characterized by modesty, devotion to his faith, and a profound respect for the world around him.
Having received his education at Notre Dame College of Tacurong, Philippines, Emerson embraced the virtues of diligence and integrity. His love for music was a reflection of the harmony he sought in life, a melody that resonated through his adept playing of drums, guitar and keyboards. His musical legacy was one of joy and inspiration to those fortunate enough to have witnessed his talents.
A dedicated family man, Emerson was a loving husband to his wife, Eloida and a guiding light to his daughters, Hazel , Rachel, Michelle and Krizelle. He devoted much of his free time to his grandchildren, Ellyana, Lukie , Kayden and Amelia, creating a lasting memories filled with love and laughter. His family was the centerpiece of his life, including his sons in law, Nick, Dylan, Jao and Yves, as well as his grandfurbabies, Mochi, Matcha , Mocha and Chanel.
Emerson was preceded in death by his parents, Aniceto and Leonida Dela Cruz and his sibling, Noly Dela Cruz. He is survived by his siblings Anita, Elsie and Sherlito, who will miss him profoundly.
The Dela Cruz family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring his life during visitation on August 19 from 3 to 9 pm at Lima Milpitas- Fremont Family Mortuary in Fremont, California. A burial service will be held the following morning August 20 at 10 am at the same location.
In memory of Emerson, we are reminded of the traditional values he embodies and the serene dignity with which he lives his life. His memory will be forever cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
