Fermin de Vera Ventayen, born September 15, 1953 in Pangasinan, Philippines to Matias Ventayen and Asuncion de Vera. Fermin Ventayen passed away on January 28, 2012 at Washington Hospital at 10:30 pm. He was 58.
He is the second to the oldest amongst nine children; Erlinda Valenton, Rosalina Garbo, Leony Paragas, Dominador Ventayen, Avelina Socao, Lorna Crawford, Jovita Ramos, and Mercedes Lopez.
Fermin married Merly Paulo on November 1980. They have five children named Melanie, Marilou, Jenelyn, Jeffrey, and Firley with three grand-children Abbygail, Anneliese and Mathew.
He loved to go fishing, cock fighting, playing guitar, pool, and dancing. Fermin had fought with diabetes for quite awhile, and had plenty of time in and out of hospitals. Though he did not live long, he lived it the way he wanted, and was happy with his life.
Viewing will be held on Thursday 2/16/12 from 12pm-9pm.. Friday 2/17/12 from 10am-9pm (with Rosary at 6pm).. Mass on Saturday 2/18/12 at 10:30am at St. Anne Catholic Church 32223 Cabello St Union City, CA 94587-3929.
