Jim passed away on December 19, 2016, at age 83. He was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Carl and Hazel Clement. After graduating from high school and serving four years in the Navy, he settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he met and married his wife Caral. He worked in the electronics industry before going into real estate, and eventually opening Clement Realty with his partner and friend Bob Gonsalves. He also served on the Milpitas Planning Commission, City Council, and as Mayor. After retiring, he enjoyed his longtime hobbies of woodworking and gardening. Jim was pre-deceased by his brother Carl Clement, Jr and his sister Claudia Costa. He is survived by his loving wife Caral Clement, son Jeffrey Clement (Lorelei), daughter Judy Clement Wall (Chad), son Tom Clement (Janette), grandchildren Dillon Wall, Adam Wall, Michael Clement, and Kelly Clement, sister-in-law, Vita Clement and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Church, 750 Sequoia Dr, Milpitas, at 12:30 p.m., Friday January 6, 2016.
