Jesus Mancilla was born on July 8th, 1960. In his early years he was raised in Michoacan, Mexico. His mother (Marina Nuñez) passed away when he was 9 years old. When Jesus was 12 years old he made the life changing decision to come to California in order to secure a better future for him and his family. With a lot of courage and hard work, Jesus was able to support and migrate his younger siblings (Ubaldo, Fabiola, Evangelica) to California. Jesus, a man of many traits, had a prominent career as a butcher for Safeway and lived a large portion of his life in San Jose. Jesus was a father of 3 children (Daniel, Marina, Marcos), and a loving uncle to many. Jesus leaves behind a legacy of hard work, friendships, joyous memories, and unforgettable laughter. Most importantly, he leaves us behind the love, compassion and care that he showed to everyone despite who they were or where they came from.
