

Juan Castro Guerrero aka “John” was born on January 12, 1928 on the Island of Guam, in the town of Agana. He is the joyful son of Joaquin Guerrero & Louisa Lujan Castro of Agana, Guam. He is predeceased by his brothers Joaquin Guerro, Manuel Guerrero, Ramon Guerrero, Roque Guerrero, Bartolome Guerrero, Jose Guerrero and sisters Josefina Guerrero, and Cecilia Guerrero. He leaves behind his sisters Oliva Blanco (husband Vicente deceased), Anna Pablo (husband Juan deceased), Mercedes Flores (husband Francisco San Nicholas deceased), and sister-in-law Celicita Guerrero (wife to Bartolome) His nephews Joaquin Pablo & Joaquin Jesus Guerrero also deceased. He is the devoted husband of Maria Guerrero, and loving father to Marissa Guerrero who passed in 1965, Jonathan Guerrero of San Leandro, and Nick & wife, Elma Guerrero of Stockton. John had 4 grandchildren: Alex Guerrero, Halle Guerrero, Austin Guerrero, Sara Posada-Guerrero. After the death of his brother-in-law, Vicente, he kept in close relationship with his sister, Oliva’s children. He is treasured by his many nieces and nephews. After his military service of 4 years, John spent most of his time working for General Motors / NUMMI and retired in 1998. During the last decade he and his wife of 50 years, Marie (Dinga), traveled and enjoyed life with the children, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His endearing smile and joyful disposition will be missed. He was a man of select words. They were always kind and a blessing to all who knew him. Until we meet again…………… we will carry you in our hearts with much love and affection.
