Josephine Vinluan Germono was born September 12, 1948 in Urbiztondo Pangasinan, Philippines. She came to America in 1980 to meet her pen pal Nick Germono and became a mother to James and Mary Jean; a mother-in-law to Joel and a grandmother to Mayme Jae.
Nick and Josephine bought their first home in Milpitas, California where they were long time resident. After two years of battling pancreatic cancer she passed away July 12th 2015 in her husband’s arms.
Josephine lived a simple life and was always a giving person. She did everything for her family out of love and sacrifice. Her part-time career was being a chef at her own restaurant, at home. The food she created brought joy and people together. It was her way of sharing her story of her life and the beauty of happiness. Heaven is fortunate to have someone that is loving, compassionate, caring, patient and kind to others.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20th at 10 am at Lima Family Mortuary in Fremont (48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539). There will be an open viewing on Sunday the 19th from 10am to 10pm.
