Judith (Judy) Mendoza passed away on Saturday, August 26th surrounded by family (husband Robert, sons Randall and Daniel, daughters-in-law Liesl and Alma). Judy was born in Bountiful UT, to parents Stephen and June Winter. Very early on, she and her family migrated to California (Oakland/San Leandro, ultimately settling in Newark). Judy attended Washington High School where she met the love of her life--Robert. From that time on, they would be inseparable. They were married in 1962, bought their first home in Fremont (where they remained to this day) and started a family. Randall was born in 1963 and Daniel was born in 1966. Judy was a loving and devoted wife as well as an excellent mother and homemaker. Judy enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining. Over the years, she hosted numerous family gatherings as well as fun social events like Bunco! Judy kept busy over the years with various part time work, but her biggest passion was socializing. Judy had many friends and loved communicating regularly (Nations/Chubby's on Wednesdays, and daily phone calls--Judy loved talking on the phone). Judy enjoyed working on class reunions and went out of her way to make those events fun and inclusive.
Judy (Mom) will be greatly missed as she made all of our lives richer and more fulfilled.
