As an only child, Lemy grew up in the Philippine province of Bogtong Mangatarem, Pangasinan. He graduated from FEATI University (Far East Air Transport Inc.) with a degree in Nautical Science. He then devoted many years on the open sea as chief mate on the S.T. Andros where he traveled to various port cities throughout the U.S., Brazil, Norway, Korea, Japan, and Africa.
He loved music and enjoyed life with a cigarette on one hand and a beer on the other. Aside from his easygoing spirit, he had a knack for growing fruit bearing trees, like avocado, banana, and persimmon. More importantly, Lemy was a wonderfully jovial man whose quite sense of humor was exceeded only by his love and affection for his wife and children.
Though he spent his latter years courageously fighting serious health ailments, he maintained his humor, goofiness, faith in God, and zest for life. Even during his last days, he joked and made his kids laugh.
We thank you for your presence in Lemy’s life and for celebrating and remembering him today. We sincerely appreciate your love, support, and prayers.
